Not required, the data is sent to or from the end user, this can easily be intercepted, if you are a skilled server programmer i would expect you to realize this. The bot creater or modder would have to literally hack Evony and steal a copy of their folder containing the variables used to update the flash game, even then they still would have to find and edit the file the server is using to select the variable.Ī) Someone who makes a bot already has significant programming skills. Again, this would be seemless and a normal user would not know the difference, you would also have to have an intermediate programming skill to figure out ways around it. I wish there was an easy solution to remove botting/multi accounting, but this solution really is skin deep, obvious, and discussed here many many times already. I think your idea is flawed, and i commend your research, but its not as simple as you believe, all your checks would slow down the casual gamers who break the rules to try and keep up, the hardcore botter's multi accounters ect will simply work around it. So lets look at router ip checks, a primary problem here (Which is so big i wont even go into how to work around router ip checks) Is all the university's, schools, cyber cafes, McDonalds and Certain community's that have 1 router a bunch of access points and a bunch more end users suddenly you would have isolated and/or restricted a bunch of people from participating in evony. End PC? When i test ip specific programs i simply run multi VPC's (freeware apps do this) and assign each VPC a different IP, the main PC acts as a router. Next to you IP checks, how deep are we going to check IP's? Router? Each PC? Mac Address? as someone pointed out, we can easily spoof a mac address, Ip's? Proxys available all over the net can bypass ip detection. I don't think i could ever program anything in flash i would deem secure, thats the limitation of a "emulating" environment, and the price programmers pay for a diverse language. I am only aware of 1 Age II bot, for obvious reasons i wont name it, But the programmer is a highly skilled veteran, i know from some programming forums were he is a Guru, as far as i know (From what he says) evony is constantly forcing him to upkeep his bot to counter anti bot measures, so much so he had to start charging for it. Your right, they wont, BUT now evony needs 100 times more powerful hardware to deal with encrypting all the strings, and every end user needs more power in there PC, granted just a smidgen more at login, but still more.Īnd if evony did decide to use more powerful servers and encrypt data, since evony is flashed based, its de-compilation is very straightforward so this wouldn't stop a keen cracker from isolating the code that knows the encryption string. So now lets add 256 bit encryption, they will never crack that. this slows down a cracker a small amount, one the area is first located and the variable call identified its mearly a means of doing the same thing every single day, to get the new call. People already duplicate the reply's expected by evony. ![]() There is such a "hand shake" and any programmer can look at what happens between evony server and client with basic freeware tools, and can solve this issue quickly. We are talking about the version behind the game The code that is working behind the game to be exact.
